When Patrik Elias rejoined the Devils 14 games into the 2009-2010 season, he registered 26 points (10 g, 16 a) in his first 27 games back and as his numbers proliferated, so did the Devils points in the standings. As Patrik gears up to return from injury again (this time after missing nine games with a concussion), he joins a struggling offense that could use a similar spark. The Devils have been shutout three times since Patrik’s injury and have only managed 15 goals in a 3-5-1 skid. It is unclear when the star forward will return to game action but he has begun full-check practices with the team. (Dan Altano)
