Score: Ottawa 3, Devils 2 (SO)
Marek Zidlicky scored a crucial game tying goal six minutes into the third period while the Devils were down 2-1 in Ottawa. The game eventually had to be decided in a shootout which went to the Senators. Patrik was denied on his shootout attempt.

Score: Tampa Bay 5, Devils 4 (SO)
New Jersey let a two-goal lead slip away in the third period against Tampa Bay, the tying goal coming with under 20 seconds to go in the game. The contest once again had to be decided in the shootout and the Devils once again had to settle for one point. Patrik couldn’t beat Lightning goaltender Mathieu Garon in the shootout.

Score: Florida 3, Devils 2 (OT)
The next night was more of the same for Jersey’s team. With the Devils up 2-1 with just under 30 seconds left in the contest, Florida's Shawn Matthias beat Martin Brodeur with a wrist shot to tie it and the Panthers put the game away in overtime to serve the Devils yet another loss.

Score: New York 3, Devils 1
The Devils dropped the game 3-1 but Patrik’s assist on the lone New Jersey goal was impressive. With the Devils down 2-0 midway through the second period, Patrik flew into the Islander’s zone with a full head of steam, blew past defenseman Mark Streit, and threw a pass across the slot which found a streaking Alexei Ponikarovsky wide open in the front of the net to put it home on the backhand.

Not much too report on here. Jaromir Jagr scored the only goal of the contest in his Bruins debut and New Jersey failed to get one through Boston goaltender Tuukka Rask. Patrik continued to press for a goal with 5 shots on net.

The Leafs jumped out to a 2-0 lead which David Clarkson cut in half midway through the third but it wasn’t enough as the Devils dropped the contest 2-1. Patrik was stellar on the penalty kill, helping to kill off all six New Jersey penalties to keep his team in the game.

Score: Buffalo 3, Devils 2 (SO)
The Devils came from behind late in the third to force overtime but once again couldn’t get the job done in the shootout. Patrik had 4 shots on goal and several scoring chances in this losing effort. In the shootout, his slick backhand to forehand move completely fooled Sabre goaltender Ryan Miller but Patrik couldn’t get the puck over Miller’s outstretched pad and was denied.
Patrik continues to lead the Devils in assists (20) and points (30) and is tied with Ilya Kovalchuk for second on the team in goals (10).
