1. november 2008 / The Devils win their tenth match despite injury to M. Brodeur
After the last three loses, the Devilsâ home game last night against the Atlanta Thrashers was a tremendous 6-1 victory. Patrik Elias got 2 points for the statistics with a goal and an assist and was awarded 2nd MVP. “Iâm glad that we have finally won. In the first two periods we played very patiently getting good position on the puck. We created a lot of chances, which we successfully turned into goals and we started doing well in the power plays. In the last period we slacked off a bit, giving the opposition more shots on goal. In the middle of the match Martin Brodeur was injured, so Kevin Weekes stepped into goal, making some excellent saves. I believe that the next games will see us carry on with this winning streak,” said Patrik Elias after the match
