Devils center Patrik Elias has scored some great goals during his career, including 41 in the Stanley Cup playoffs. But the goal he scored against Jose Theodore of the Florida Panthers in Game 1 Friday night ranked among the most skillful. It was, as some have suggested, the kind of goal that would be on every highlight show had it been scored by Sidney Crosby or Alex Ovechkin.
